This week I have mostly been reading…

Ian | April 6, 2008

As ever, there is so much to read. The following are some links that I have spent some time looking at, though far less time than they deserve.

  • Reasons why ESBs are considered bad here
  • The next big thing in SOA here
  • Rants about Java here
  • Distracting blogs found here and here
  • Also I came across a great example of code you can’t read in an article about something completely different here

  • -pl s!.!y$IVCXL426(-:$XLMCDIVX$dfor$$_.=5x$&*8%29628;$$$_=$_!egfor-4e3..y/iul-}/-$+ /%s''$';*_=eval

A Perl Golf Roman Numeral Calculator, Fantastic, isn’t it!?

ESBs… SOA… *MEU!

The Javaland rant is a classic!

Perl is just plain evil.

You know it’s evil because it looks really nice at first.

I’m no perl fan, having spent too much time debugging/deciphering masses of third party code before there were decent web UI delivery mechanisms. But I couldn’t help but be impressed.

One of the dangers of surfing - there’s just too much you could spend your time reading! Speaking of which, it’s late on a Friday night. Haven’t you anything better to do!!!?

Oh, and yes, it’s the guts of the media center pc in our front room. A little bit blurry, but it’s mine :)

I should have been away to me bed (hard week)

I should have been away to me bed (hard week) but that Google Reader caught me again… ;)
